Visiting this website
When you open a page, your browser sends our server your IP address, the address of the page, the time, and your browser's user agent. The server needs them to send you the page and uses them for nothing else. Our web server keeps no access logs, so this information isn't stored after the page is sent. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in delivering the website, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Cookies, analytics, and other people's code
This site sets no cookies and uses no local storage. It has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no social media plug-ins. Its fonts and images are served from our own server, so opening a page doesn't contact anyone else.
If you write to us, we use your address and what you send to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as it's needed to deal with it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or taking steps toward a contract at your request, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Where the data lives
This site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in data centres in the EU. Hetzner processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
Shardbound
Shardbound's website and game have their own privacy policy, at shardbound.ninth-lantern.com/legal/privacy. It covers accounts, playing the game and early access payments.
Your rights
You have the right to know what we hold about you (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable form (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21). Write to info@ninth-lantern.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77), in particular the one where you live or work.
